On Thursday, May 21st, 2026, the Grade 8 students at Northridge Public School will host the Entrepreneurial Market. With 40 student businesses, we will open our doors to a Student Market in the afternoon, from 12:00 to 3:00pm, and a Community Market in the evening, from 5:00 to 7:00pm.

The main goal of the Entrepreneurial Market is to help young leaders learn basic business skills by creating a small business, writing a business plan, developing a marketing strategy, designing a brand, and building a tradeshow booth to sell the product at the market. This project is also a wonderful fundraising opportunity for our Intermediate Division and help offset costs associated with the Grade 8 year-end field trip, as well as support classroom technology upgrades, educational and STEM resources, athletic equipment, arts programming needs, and other materials that enhance student learning.

Students have been encouraged to connect with local businesses to help offset business costs. Our local partners have been very kind and supportive. They have given our students real-world experiences by asking them to define their businesses, establish what they require for their businesses, and working with them to establish a mutually beneficial deal.​

HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS FOR PRODUCTS

1. CASH AT THE DOOR

• Cash can be used at the door to purchase 'product tickets'.

2. ORDER TICKETS ONLINE VIA SCHOOL CASH ONLINE

• Family and friends may also order tickets via School Cash Online in advance, or at the door. Once purchased, tickets can be picked up at the door to the gymnasium upon your arrival. Pre-ordered tickets will be delivered to each classroom on the morning of the event.
   

3. CREDIT CARD AT THE EVENT 

• Northridge Home & School will provide a credit card processing option for purchasing additional tickets the night of the event. ​
